In Britain, a tale of two babies; One beloved and one forsaken

As Prince William and Duchess Kate welcome a baby boy into their family, the life of another British baby boy is ebbing as a hospital and a host of courts refuse to allow his transfer to a facility in Rome that will try to save his life, or at least prolong it.
This is not only tragic, it’s outrageous!
In Liverpool, Baby Alfie Evans has been breathing on his own for more than 24 hours after his ventilator was switched off. But Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool has denied him nutrition for those 24 hours because they have given him a death sentence and they are hell-bent on carrying it out.

Hundreds of supporters gathered outside tried to storm the hospital, to no avail.
Even the support of Pope Francis and the decision by the Italian government to grant Alfie citizenship cannot convince the hospital and courts to let Alfie go.
Bishops throughout the world have shown support for Alfie, who is, like his father, a baptized Catholic. The bishop of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, got together and recorded a video and signed a letter of support for the family. Bishop Francesco Cavina of the Italian Diocese of Carpi arranged for Alfie’s dad to meet Pope Francis. In Liverpool, Fr. Gabriele Brusco has been ministering to Alfie and his family.
