Deadline is approaching for working to safeguard the Protect Life Rule

The deadline is approaching to do what we can to safeguard President Donald Trump’s Protect Life rule from Joe Biden’s abortion extremism.
On April 15, the Department of Health and Human Services – now led by fellow abortion extremist Xavier Becerra – announced it would eliminate the rule that keeps federal Title X money for family planning away from abortion businesses.
Actually, that “rule” simply implements what has been in the law from the inception of Title X in 1970. And President Trump isn’t the only one who insisted that this law be followed. President Reagan did as well, and the Supreme Court upheld those efforts of both presidents – efforts the majority of Americans agree with.
Now Biden (or should we say those who control him) wants to go in the other direction. But a change in this type of rule requires a period of public comment, which is already underway. By submitting a comment on the HHS website, you can tell Biden and his henchmen that you do not want your hard-earned money going to abortionists.
The Protect Life Rule made it mandatory for abortion businesses to be physically and financially separated from family planning clinics. Because Planned Parenthood, the nation’s number one abortion seller, would never shut down or relocate its lucrative trade in baby killing, the organization pulled out of the Title X program, losing some $56 million annually. Now the corrupt criminal organization Planned Parenthood will get that money again. It’s not supposed to be used for abortion but let’s face it, everything from abortionists’ salaries to the electric bill is being paid from that slush fund.
The Protect Life rule also encouraged minors to involve a parent in their plan to seek birth control, which can be harmful and even deadly. Biden doesn’t care what happens to our teenagers so that part of the rule is being scrapped.
Also, under Protect Life, Title X clinics were forbidden to refer patients for abortions; now they are mandated to do just that. Yet federal law (the Weldon amendment) forbids discrimination against healthcare agencies that choose not to refer for abortion.
Comments will be accepted until Monday, May 17, so please submit one without delay. And ask every like-minded person you know to submit a comment as well. Let’s make sure this administration knows how Americans feel about being forced to subsidize abortion.
