Public Outreach Associate
Our Public Outreach Associate responds to inquiries from the public
about Priests for Life regarding various aspects of abortion, the
pro-life movement, Priests for Life, and issues raised by us and our
guests on our many radio, television and internet broadcasts. They also
initiate communications with the public, as instructed, to foster
participation in various projects and activities of Priests for Life and
the wider pro-life movement. All correspondence, i.e. emails, snail
mails, social media messages, and phone calls must be answered within
one business day of being received.
The ideal candidate for this position must be pro-life, knowledgeable of
the pro-life movement and the Church. They must have exceptional writing
skills and a professional and pleasant phone presence. Ability to read
and write in Spanish is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013
or 2016 with expertise in Word and Outlook is a must. College degree is
required with a minimum of 2 years' experience.

At Priests for Life we have a radio and TV studio at our headquarters and we are looking for
someone that can assist with the day to day operations of basic taping and
editing of audio and video broadcasts as well as the proper upkeep of the
studios and their equipment.
The responsibilities associated with this position are
Learn and follow studio and production procedures of Priests for Life
Keep studios in working order and well organized
Assist with radio and television taping and live broadcasts by members
of our pastoral team
Basic audio and video editing according to company procedures and in
conjunction with our company videographer
Send audio and video clips to TV and radio outlets and to our internet
Assist with archiving of physical and digital footage, as well as
retrieval of footage to be used in new broadcasts
Input music, graphics and effects
Accompany members of pastoral team on some trips to film events on the
road and do interviews with other pro-life leaders and activists
Consult with members of administration and the pastoral team from
production to post-production process
Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and
industry's best practices to maximize efficiency
Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy
regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic
The ideal candidate for
this position must have experience in audio and video editing including the
ability to utilize basic camera, microphone and teleprompter equipment,
basic camera lighting and audio requirements for broadcasting. One
should be familiar with video and audio capabilities of the iPhone, the
utilization of cameras with computer systems and the ability to transfer
analog footage (some VHS, some DVD) to digital format. The ideal
candidate should also be familiar with digital technology and editing
software packages in the Windows environment (e.g. Windows Live Movie Maker,
Nero, Adobe Premier Windows version) and the MAC environment (e.g. iMovie or
Final Cut (optimal)) as well as basic audio equipment (Mackie mixer, Edirol
recorder, etc.) and the ability to utilize or learn Sound Forge audio
Efficient verbal and written communication skills with
excellent organizational skills is a must. We are looking for someone
who has the ability to bring forward creative ideas while at the same time
following company procedures and instructions.
