Resource Department Associate

The Resource Department Associate assists the Resource Department Coordinator with the requests that come into the office for various educational resources we provide and makes sure they are fulfilled in a timely way.

The responsibilities include receiving and sorting of incoming mail, affixing postage on outgoing mail and orders, receiving and delivering of shipments and assisting the Resource Coordinator with the volunteers.

This entry level position requires excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 2016. Familiarity with Microsoft Access and mail merge processes is a plus.


Political Outreach Associate

Given the crucial importance of the 2020 elections on the pro-life movement, Priests for Life is seeking an individual to be employed for the year 2020 to assist the National Director and the Administrative team with our political outreach

Specifically, this individual would assist by communicating with and mobilizing people across the nation who, as a result of their interaction with our organization, want to engage in activities in their local community to educate voters and get out the vote (see www.ProLifeVolunteer.com).

Priests for Life engages in a wide variety of election-related activities. Though we are a 501 (c)-3 organization, we utilize to the full extent of the law the opportunities we have to educate and mobilize voters.

The Political Outreach Associate we are seeking to hire would assist these activities under the guidance of the National Director, and would keep him and the Administrative team updated both on the activities of the volunteers we mobilize as well as on the developments in the Presidential race and Congressional races. This individual would be asked to take part in various conference calls on behalf of Priests for Life to get the latest information from our colleagues in the pro-life, pro-family political world, and to keep in touch with our key advisors in this arena.

Applicants would need to have a college degree, and should have a professional and pleasant phone presence, with the ability to patiently and clearly guide and motivate people who want to get involved and answer their questions. Beyond that, the applicant should already have had at least two year’s experience in matters related to politics, elections, and campaigns, and understand the dynamics of the current American political climate. Applicant must be committed to advancing the agenda of the pro-life movement in electoral politics.

Public Outreach Associate

Our Public Outreach Associate responds to inquiries from the public about Priests for Life regarding various aspects of abortion, the pro-life movement, Priests for Life, and issues raised by us and our guests on our many radio, television and internet broadcasts. They also initiate communications with the public, as instructed, to foster participation in various projects and activities of Priests for Life and the wider pro-life movement. All correspondence, i.e. emails, snail mails, social media messages, and phone calls must be answered within one business day of being received.

The ideal candidate for this position must be pro-life, knowledgeable of the pro-life movement and the Church. They must have exceptional writing skills and a professional and pleasant phone presence. Ability to read and write in Spanish is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013 or 2016 with expertise in Word and Outlook is a must. College degree is required with a minimum of 2 years' experience.

Video and Audio Producer-Editor and Graphic Designer

At Priests for Life we have a radio and TV studio at our headquarters and we are looking for someone that can assist with the day to day operations of basic taping and editing of audio and video broadcasts as well as the proper upkeep of the studios and their equipment. Along with that, we need someone to do graphic design work for brochures, newsletters, banners, etc.

The responsibilities associated with this position are as follows:

  • Learn and follow studio and production procedures of Priests for Life
  • Keep studios in working order and well organized
  • Assist with radio and television taping and live broadcasts by members of our pastoral team
  • Do audio and video editing of our taped programs according to company procedures and in conjunction with our company videographer
  • Send audio and video clips to TV and radio outlets and to our internet department
  • Assist with archiving of physical and digital footage, as well as retrieval of footage to be used in new broadcasts
  • Accompany members of pastoral team on some trips to film events on the road and do interviews with other pro-life leaders and activists
  • Consult with members of administration and the pastoral team from production to post-production process
  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry's best practices to maximize efficiency
  • Create and edit graphic design and layout of brochures, newsletters, online ads, banners, and other items as needed.

The ideal candidate for this position must have experience in audio and video editing including the ability to utilize basic camera, microphone and teleprompter equipment, camera lighting and audio requirements for broadcasting.

One should be familiar with video and audio capabilities of the iPhone, the utilization of cameras with computer systems and the ability to transfer analog footage (some VHS, some DVD) to digital format.

The candidate should also be familiar with digital technology and editing software packages such as Adobe After Effects or Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro or its equivalent, and Sound Forge.

Familiarity with audio and video mixers will also be needed.

For graphic design, the use of Adobe Illustrator and InDesign would be involved.

Efficient verbal and written communication skills with excellent organizational skills is a must. We are looking for someone who has the ability to bring forward creative ideas while at the same time following company procedures and instructions.
