Spread the word about the April 1 Wisconsin Supreme Court election

February 21, 2025

Dear Friends,

The April 1 race for a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court is one of the most important elections that will take place this year and the outcome will determine whether babies are protected from abortion or not in the Badger State.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court, which enjoyed a conservative majority for a long time, was flipped to a 4-3 liberal majority just two years ago, in what was the most expensive judicial race in American history.

But last year, liberal Justice Ann Walsh Bradley announced that she would not run for a fourth 10-year term when her current term expires July 31.

Abortion is certainly a key issue in this race, because the Wisconsin Supreme Court is considering right now whether there is a “right” to abortion in the state constitution. The resolution of that question affects the lives of the unborn for many years to come.

Also at issue is “Act 10,” a law that Republican Governor Scott Walker had signed, restricting collective bargaining rights of public sector employees to reduce state spending. Now a lower court judge has overturned that law, and the matter will also come before the WI Supreme Court justices.

But the race also has national implications. Wisconsin is one of the most important battleground states in presidential elections and the outcomes will also affect redistricting efforts in the state that could ultimately cost two Republican seats in the U.S. House of Representatives.

“To say that what happens in Wisconsin will not stay in Wisconsin is putting it really mildly,” Wisconsin GOP Chairman Brian Schimming told Breitbart News. “It could literally mean the success of President Trump’s term. It could literally mean them (Democrats) having the votes to bring articles of impeachment against him. The implications of what happens in Wisconsin would be a political earthquake for the House of Representatives.”

That’s why I’m writing to you now, to make sure you know about the race and how you can help ensure a pro-life victory.

The race pits pro-life Republican Brad Schimel, a former state attorney general now serving as a judge in Waukesha County. His opponent is pro-abortion Democrat Susan Crawford, now serving as a judge in Dane County. She has been endorsed by Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin and as an attorney in private practice, she has challenged pro-life laws in the state.

Even if you don’t live in Wisconsin, you can help sway this election. May I count on you to help? And please also send this email to as many interested people as you can.
