Urge your senators to stop the funding of Planned Parenthood!

June 22, 2026

Dear Friends,

On Independence Day, of course, we celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States of America. It marks the day in 1776 when the Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence and set about making a new nation, one conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that we are all created equal.

We will celebrate that day with gratitude and joy.

But that is also the day when, according to law, the prohibition on the Medicaid funding of Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry expires.

They receive in excess of half a billion dollars. Remember that last year, that funding stopped on July 4th, thanks to President Trump and the Republican Congress.

But now that prohibition on abortion funding needs to be renewed. And although the Democrats in Congress want the abortion industry fully funded, Republicans can stop it again through what’s known as the “reconciliation process,” which requires only a simple majority in the Senate rather than 60 votes.

The very possibility of this is historic. Usually, a President will have one reconciliation bill sent to his desk, if that. But President Trump and the Republican Congress have already passed two of them, and are now working on the third.

When you click this link, you will be letting me know you are committed to contacting both of your U.S. senators to tell them they need to make sure that this third reconciliation bill ends the funding of the abortion industry.

Whether this happens by July 4th or it takes a little longer, we need to get it done. Please join your voice to ours today, and pass this email along to anyone else who may be interested.

Regards,
