Staten Island -- The controversial battle to save the life of 13-month old Baby Joseph Maraachli is now in its final stages. On Monday morning, March 14th, the attorneys, doctors, and administrators involved in this case will make their decision about releasing Baby Joseph from the Canadian hospital which has de facto custody of the child.
As most people know, Baby Joseph allegedly has a breathing problem that now requires him to undergo a tracheostomy so that he can breathe normally and hopefully lead a normal, healthy life some day.
Priests For Life -- under the leadership of Father Frank Pavone -- has been leading the fight to acquire the health care that Baby Joseph so badly needs. Father Pavone and his staff have been working tirelessly to find a qualified hospital in the United States that could adequately treat Baby Joseph. One such hospital has been found, and they anxiously await Baby Joseph's arrival.
In addition, the Priests For Life staff found a highly accredited air medical transport company that can safely take Baby Joseph from Canada to the U.S.
Now all that is needed is for the Canadian officials to release Baby Joseph and his medical records immediately. Otherwise, he is in danger of dying sooner. Priests For Life is simply and politely requesting that the Canadian health care officials do the right thing and release Baby Joseph now.
