Priests for Life’s annual audit examination of 2015 was recently completed
by its independent certified public accounting firm—Brookes & Associates. I
am pleased to announce that after examining our financial statements, the
firm issued an unqualified opinion regarding their accuracy and the
financial controls that we have in place. This is the 12th consecutive year
that we have received an unqualified opinion in connection with our annual
audit examinations.
During the course of 2015, Priests for Life, Inc. had Contribution Revenue
of $10,531,340, an increase of approximately $2.3 million or 28% over the
previous year. This increase was the result of a decision made in 2014 by
the Board of Directors and the Executive Team to launch a multi-faceted
prospecting program intended to connect with a new and very large potential
group of donors as well as to re-establishregular communications with a base
of contributors who had supported the organization for many years. The
program utilized the expertise and services of a professional marketing
firm—American Targeted Advertising (ATA)—to work with our fundraising team
to develop messaging appropriate for this new potential audience of pro-life
donors. As part of this aggressive outreach prospecting program, the
objective was to identify potential donors and to describe the
organization’s mission to them, as well as provide them with examples of our
past successes and achievements. By connecting with this new group of
sustaining contributors, Priests for Life will be able to minimize future
marketing expenses and focus the anticipated revenue stream on expanded
programs.
