The Catholic View for Women

Spring 2019 - Episode 3: After Suicide - Part 1

With the suicides of popular celebrities Robin Williams, Anthony Bourdain, Kate Spade and others, along with the popular Netflix Series “13 Reasons Why” we look at the rising suicide rates in our culture. We also help those who know someone with a suicide in their family deal with the tragedy from a Catholic perspective.
Guest: Fr. Chris Alar, MIC
Janet's Homework Assignment:

  2. Have family meals at least once every day and let every member share what made them happy and sad during the day.

  3. Have kids do house chores together, as a family.

  4. Learn Scripture and the Catechism—especially those verses and paragraphs that encourage strength in life. Teach them. See EWTN.com “faith” tab and the EWTN free mobile app has the Bible.
