In Colorado, Amendment 79, Right to Abortion and Health Insurance Coverage Initiative appeared on the ballot in 2024 to amend the Constitution to allow more abortion, more easily, and later in pregnancy. The amendment passed.

Priests for Life joined with pro-life people throughout the state to defeat this initiative, by means of educational efforts, direct contact with voters, broadcasting, press releases, communication with Churches, prayer campaigns, and much more.

Measures like this are on the ballot in nine other states. These measures, while worded differently from state to state, all mean more abortions with fewer limits, fewer health safeguards, and less involvement of parents and doctors. Furthermore, they all mean that the people and their lawmakers could no longer pass laws protecting the unborn or regulating abortion, and that any such laws already on the books would be successfully struck down when challenged in Court.
