The President Has Kept His Promises - And More

We are proud to thank President Donald Trump for the numerous accomplishments of his first term, too many to list here, but including the following.

Satisfaction with the state of the nation reached a 15-year high according to Gallup, and nearly twice the number of people think it’s heading in the right direction as did in 2016.
President Trump has placed 230 conservative federal judges on our courts, including two on the Supreme Court. This is more than any president in the past four decades. One in four appellate court judges have now been appointed by him, and this has flipped the ideological balance of several of these Circuits already. The President has indicated that he will leave no vacancies behind (unlike President Obama, who left behind 142 vacancies.)
President Trump has achieved the first Middle East peace agreement in 25 years, a recent accord between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. Other countries will now want to follow suit.
He recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, moving our embassy there, and also recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
Required NATO allies to pay their fair share, resulting in a 130Billion increase in defense spending from the allies, with more to come.
The United States is now energy-independent. We have become the leading producer of oil and natural gas anywhere in the world, surpassing Saudi Arabia and Russia. We are a net exporter of natural gas for the first time since 1957.
The President approved the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, with 42,000 jobs and $2 billion in earnings. 
President Trump has taken steps to restore and protect land, air, and water. The United States maintained the cleanest air on record and remained the global leader for access to clean drinking water.
To fight the pandemic, President Trump led the greatest national mobilization since World War II, utilizing the Defense Production Act and an unprecedented partnership of government with private industry. He had the foresight to stop travel from China at the end of January, and shortly thereafter also from Europe.
Testing was reinvented, Operation Warp Speed brought therapeutics and vaccine creation on an unprecedented pace. Nobody who needed a ventilator could not get one.
During the pandemic we had the smallest economic contraction of any major Western nation
The economy is now recovering strongly; 9.3 million jobs have bounced back in the last three months.
Farmers to Family Food Box Program was set up to overcome pandemic obstacles and got 100 million meals delivered.
The President launched a new initiative to end HIV/AIDS in America. The President’s initiative will work to reduce new infections by 75 percent in the next five years and by 90 percent in the next ten years.
President Trump increased funding for school choice by $42 million, and encouraged state and federal lawmakers to expand school choice, so that parents don’t have to be forced to send their children to failing government schools.
The Trump administration announced new Title IX enforcement to combat sexual assault in K-12 public schools, fulfilling the President’s promise to keep children safe.
He signed legislation to improve the National Suicide Hotline.
He signed the most comprehensive childhood cancer legislation, which will advance childhood cancer research and improve treatments.
President Trump secured the largest-ever increase in child care funding. He signed a six-year extension of CHIP to fund healthcare for 9 million children.
Thanks to the President, 8 million more have access now to a National Paid Leave Tax Credit
Under President Trump, the US has defeated 100% of the Isis Caliphate in Iraq and Syria. They controlled territory twice the size of PA at the start of Trump’s term and now have none.
The Administration ordered a precision strike that killed the number one terrorist in the world Qasem Soleimani who was plotting attacks on American diplomats and military personnel.
Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, founder and leader of ISIS, was also brought to justice and is dead.
President Trump obtained the release of more American hostages and detainees than any other President, having brought home over 50 from 22 countries, with more to come.
Imposed the toughest sanctions on North Korea in history
The President has kept us out of needless wars and has our troops already coming home.
The President ended the one-sided Iran nuclear deal. The previous administration, under this Iran nuclear deal, let Iran keep working on nukes while being paid vast amounts (including 1.8 billion dollars that Obama sent them in cash) and having sanctions lifted, without stopping its terrorist activities and anti-American rhetoric.
President Trump has mobilized his entire administration to address drug addiction and opioid abuse by declaring the opioid crisis a nationwide public health emergency.
Drug-induced deaths decreased for the first time in 30 years in 2018. Drug overdose deaths dropped by 5% in 2019, the first decline in nearly three decades, according to a report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The President directed that $6 billion go to fund fight the opioid, fentanyl, and drug addiction epidemic. In an opioid fraud crackdown, the DOJ charged more than 400 people, including doctors and medical facilities, for prescribing unnecessary opioids, fueling the drug crisis.
On National Drug Take Back Day, the Drug Enforcement Administration collected a record-breaking 912,305 pounds – 456 tons – of potentially dangerous expired, unused, or unwanted prescription drugs at more than 5,300 collection sites.
The Trump Administration announced that the Department of Veteran Affairs has successfully reduced prescription opioid use in patients within the VA health care system by 64%.
The White House Office of National Drug Control Policy released its 2020 Drug-Free Communities report finding that the Trump administration’s Drug-Free Communities Program lowered youth substance use.
The Trump administration issued a rule allowing health care workers to refuse to provide services like abortion, sterilization or assisted suicide, if they cite a religious or conscientious objection.
The Department of Health and Human Services Created the Conscience and Religious Freedom Division of the Office For Civil Rights, protecting people from being forced to cooperate in abortion or other morally objectionable activities.
The Trump Administration has ended the Obama mandate that forced employers to cover contraception and abortion in health insurance plans despite moral and religious objections. He has made sure faith-based organizations are not discriminated against as they contract with the government, and has ended the enforcement of the “Johnson Amendment” that restricts the speech of pastors.
He has taken historic steps to secure religious freedom internationally, making this an explicit part of foreign policy, holding international gatherings on the topic, and calling on other nations to end religious persectution.
The President signed a historic executive order that promotes and protects free speech on college campuses.
The President has decreased funding of Planned Parenthood on the state, federal and international levels, forcing it, for instance, to drop out of the Title X program, and has called on Congress to cut even more funding of abortion. He has stopped government funding of research projects involving the bodies of aborted babies, has called for the passage of laws to protect the unborn as well as babies who survive abortion, and has attended the March for Life and other pro-life events.
President Trump has been carrying out his commitment to “Drain the Swamp,” eliminating corruption that is deeply embedded in government, and insisting on transparency in the way government agencies conduct their business.
Trade wars are being won and better and more fair trade deals are being made. President Trump secured $250 billion in new trade and investment deals with China and $12 billion in Vietnam. He is dealing with intellectual property theft and enforcing copyright agreements. As he has been standing up to China, they had their worst year in 67 years while we had the best.
The President replaced NAFTA with the USMCA to prevent us from losing companies to other countries. President Trump’s United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement trade deal will potentially add up to 588,000 jobs and grow U.S. GDP by $235 billion.
The President got the US out of the Paris Climate Accord which put America at a big disadvantage.
He also withdrew the US from the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which would have killed many jobs in America.
The US produces nearly all of our own food, and the President’s policies helped assure that.
The Trump administration authorized a total of $28 billion in aid for farmers who have been subjected to unfair trade practices.
President Trump got historic criminal justice reform passed. The First Step Act treats inmates more fairly and efficiently in terms of both the amount of time they have to serve and the process by which they can return to normal and productive lives. As a result of the Act, more than 3,000 Americans have been released from prison and 90% of those who have had their sentences reduced are black Americans.
President Trump created the strongest economy in our history and in the world. It also was the most inclusive economy in our history, with 2/3 of new jobs going to women, African Americans and other minorities.  Business ownership has grown higher than ever among Blacks, Hispanics and women. Under President Trump we had the longest streak ever of positive job growth. Over 7 million jobs were brought about by this administration, including 500,000 manufacturing jobs (which have grown at their fastest rate in 30 years). Some 72% of new jobs went to those outside the work force.
The Dow Jones all-time high of 29,551.42 was reached on Feb. 12, 2020, a result of the longest bull market (steadily increasing stock prices) in history.
Before the virus, we reached a higher number of Americans employed – nearly 160 million -- than has ever been recorded in our history.  
Unemployment for Americans without a high school diploma reached the lowest rate ever recorded.
Female unemployment reached its lowest rate in 65 years
African-American unemployment, Hispanic-American unemployment, and Asian-American unemployment all reached an all-time low.
The unemployment rate among veterans reached a record low of 2.8%.
January 2020 marked the 23rd consecutive month that the unemployment rate was at or below 4%.
The poverty level fell to a 17-year low under the Trump Administration; poverty among African Americans and Hispanics reached its lowest point since the U.S. began collecting this data.
Established the Opportunity Zones, by which $75million from the private sector poured into disadvantaged areas.
For the first time ever, earnings for the bottom 10% are rising faster than earnings for the top 10%. Since the President’s election, the net worth of the bottom half of wage earners has increased by 47%, three times faster than the increase for the top 1%.
The rise in median household income has reached an all time high. For President Bush, in eight years it rose $450. Under President Obama, for eight years it was $975. Under President Trump, the number is almost $10,000, and that’s just over three years. The contrast is even sharper when measured on a monthy basis. The monthly rise in incomes under Bush was $4. That number was $11 under Obama and $161 under Trump.
President Trump has taken care of our veterans. After many decades, finally passed VA Accountability (thanks to which over 9000 workers who were doing a bad job are gone whereas before they couldn’t be fired) and VA Choice, which allows vets to choose their own doctor for more timely treatment and have the government pay the bill.
The President has strengthened our national security by strengthening our southern border. The Wall is being built, with some 300 miles already complete.
This Administration has removed 20,000 gang members from our country, including 4500 members of the particularly vicious MS-13. Their own countries wouldn’t take them back under the previous administration but are taking them back now.
The Administration has also deported 500,000 criminals who were not supposed to be here to begin with.
Ended Catch and Release, the dangerous practice whereby those who have broken our Nation’s immigration laws are released into the United States shortly after their apprehension.
Stopped asylum fraud. He has ensured that legitimate asylum-seekers can access asylum while more efficiently processing and removing illegal migrants who are not eligible and who do not qualify.
Dismantled drug smuggling and human trafficking in women and children. Federal law enforcement more than doubled the number of convictions for human trafficking.
In 2018 alone, President Trump’s High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area program disrupted or dismantled almost 3,000 drug trafficking organizations.
Prosecutors were directed by the Department of Justice to focus on taking illegal guns off our streets. Criminals charged with unlawful possession of a firearm has increased 23 percent.
President Trump signed the Fix NICS Act into law in 2018, strengthening the background check system to ensure that guns are kept out of the hands of criminals.
Established the Space Force, a new branch of the Armed Services, since the Air Force was created almost 75 years ago.
Oversaw the launch, for the first time in nearly a decades, of Americans into space on an American-made rocket, and pledged that we would be the first nation to plant our flag on Mars.
President Trump brought us the largest tax cuts in our history and got rid of more government regulations than any other president in history, saving billions of dollars. Regulations kill jobs and keep small businesses from growing.
The Trump administration announced it has saved $90 billion in regulatory costs to the economy and consumers. 
As part of the landmark Tax Cuts and Jobs Act President Trump repealed the individual mandate, at the heart of Obamacare, which forced people to buy expensive insurance and taxed those who couldn’t afford it. The mandate disproportionately hurt the poor: 80% of those affected made less than $50,000.
President Trump has appropriated more money than any other president to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and made the funding to them permanent. 
He directed the Secretary of Education to get rid of “Common Core.”
Under President Trump, the FDA has approved the largest number – and more affordable -- generic drugs ever. Generics increase competition in the marketplace and lower the cost of prescription drugs for all Americans.
President Trump unveiled the “American Patients First” plan to increase competition, improve negotiation and create incentives to lower prices of prescription drugs and out-of-pocket health care costs. He stopped hospitals from overcharging low-income seniors on their drugs.
President Trump signed other executive orders to ensure that Americans are receiving the lowest price possible for their prescription drugs. In December 2018, year-end drug prices fell for the first time in nearly 50 years. (In the years prior to the Trump Administration, they were going up on an average of 3.6% each year.)
HHS finalized a rule aimed at increasing transparency in the pharmaceutical industry that requires drug companies to disclose the price of medication in direct-to-consumer television advertisements.
The President has taken other actions also to increase price transparency in the healthcare industry, saying no American should be blindsided by medical bills that they did not agree to in advance.
The Administration awarded $107.2 million to increase the health workforce in underserved communities to improve the quality, distribution, and diversity of health professionals in the United States.
President Trump passed Right to Try to give critically ill patients access to life-saving cures when they cannot qualify for experimental treatment but want to try treatments that have a chance of helping them even though they do not have final approval.
President Trump issued changes to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) to reduce regulation and allow for infrastructure and transportation projects to move forward, sometimes reducing creation time from 21 years to two years. President Trump's plan provides states the flexibility they need to address the unique needs of each community.
