Fr. Anthony J. Mastroeni was ordained for the diocese of
Paterson, N.J.in 1972. He earned an S.T.L. in Spiritual Theology, a
doctorate in Moral Theology from the Angelicum in Rome; a J.D. in Civil Law
from Rutgers Law School; and an M.A. in Psychology from Seton Hall
University. For the last 33 years he has been teaching university students,
as well as giving retreats, mostly to consecrated women. From 1978-1985 he
taught theology and philosophy at the University of San Francisco’s St.
Ignatius Institute. From 1990-1999 he taught at the Franciscan University of
Steubenville, with four years service spent at the University’s campus in
Gaming, Austria, as well as The International Pontifical Institute for
Marriage and the Family in Gaming. From 1999 to the present Fr. Mastroeni
has taught theology and directed the chaplaincy at Christendom College in
Front Royal, Virginia. He was the founding director of Christendom’s Rome
campus.
