Priests for Life is urging its supporters in Nebraska to make plans to vote early - beginning Oct. 7 - in favor of the pro-life amendment on the ballot.

The Nebraska Prohibit Abortions After the First Trimester Amendment is one of two that will be put before voters in the state; the other is a pro-abortion amendment that would impose abortion without limits throughout the state.

Priests for Life is also now releasing new ads specifically for Nebraska, exposing late-term abortion and sharing difficult-to-hear stories of mothers who undergo late-term abortion.

“Every national poll, including a McLaughlin poll commissioned earlier this year by Priests for Life, show decisively that Americans support a limit on how late into pregnancy a baby may be aborted,” said Priests for Life National Director Frank Pavone. “Our poll found that 75 percent of Americans favor a limit. Passing this amendment will ensure that Nebraska’s policy on abortion lines up more with the American people than with abortion extremists.”

The pro-abortion measure, backed by Planned Parenthood, would remove all restrictions on abortion and repeal any common-sense laws now on the books to protect babies and their mothers, Pavone said.
