TITUSVILLE, FL – Priests for Life has launched today an initiative for voters to visit their U.S. senators and House members in their local offices this week and next, urging them to use the reconciliation bill to protect their taxpayer dollars from paying for abortion and the abortion industry, including Planned Parenthood.
“Last week we lobbied them in Washington, DC. Now it’s time to take this lobbying effort to the next level,” said Priests for Life National Director Frank Pavone. “A visit to a local office about a national issue makes a strong impact and will show these members that the question of funding abortion has got the attention of their people.”
Pavone is asking supporters to visit both Republicans and Democrats.
“We want to meet with those who already strongly agree with us and those who strongly disagree,” he said. “They all need to see the evidence of what every poll indicates: Americans do not want to pay for abortions.”
“Congress will be hammering out the reconciliation bill after Easter. With the rare circumstances of a reconciliation bill being crafted during a trifecta, there is a better chance than ever to achieve this longstanding goal of the pro-life movement.”
