TITUSVILLE, FL -- Priests for Life National Director Frank Pavone released the following statement today:
“Priests for Life applauds the Texas Senate for its passage of the Protecting Unborn Children Act (SB 6). It shows the rest of the nation that yes, something can be done to address the rise of chemical methods of killing children in the womb. Its action of creating a civil penalty for manufacturing, distributing, mailing, transporting, delivering, prescribing or providing abortion-inducing drugs in Texas should be replicated in even more states.
“I have high personal regard for Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and for state Sen. Bryan Hughes, both of whom I have known for years and whose strong pro-life commitment has been evident. I thank all the other pro-life legislators of Texas as well for this action, and call upon the absent Democrats of the Texas House to return home and do their jobs.”
