Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow, now a best-selling author and well-known pro-life and human rights activist, will be the guest speaker at the Florida Right to Life Gala to take place Jan. 16 at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Waterfront.
The gala will take place the night before the Florida March for the Preborn, also in Jacksonville.
While she was pregnant with Tim, Pam Tebow was advised by doctors in the Philippines to abort her child because she was suffering from dysentery while she and her husband were serving as missionaries. She refused to end her child’s life. He was born healthy and went on to become to win football’s highest honor for college athletes, the Heisman Trophy.
He started the Tim Tebow Foundation in 2010 and it now serves vulnerable people in more than 100 countries.
Priests for Life and Florida Right to Life are working with the Defending Life Alliance of Florida to organize the Florida March for the Preborn.
“The March for the Preborn aims to strengthen believers throughout Florida to make their love for the preborn even more visible, and impossible to ignore,” said Priests for Life National Director Frank Pavone. “Marches strengthen our message, our unity, and our visibility. The abortion industry is vocal and public about killing babies. We are vocal and public about saving them.”
