The 31st annual National Prayer Service, held on the morning of the March for Life in Washington, D.C., will celebrate America’s 250th birthday and the right to life recognized in our Declaration of Independence.

The event will take place on Jan. 23 at Constitution Hall. A Catholic Mass will be celebrated at 7:30 a.m. and the interdenominational prayer service will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Priests for Life National Director Frank Pavone is a member of the America 250 Civics Education Coalition, which is preparing for the celebration of our nation’s Semiquincentennial in 2026.

“In the coming months, events will be held as we plan to celebrate the 250th birthday of this bold and hopeful experiment known as the United States of America, and to educate our fellow citizens on the meaning of our founding documents and the extraordinary system of government our Founders have left us,” Pavone said. “One of our activities as a member group of this coalition is the National Prayer Service. Clergy and activists of all denominations will gather to pray for an end to abortion, for unity in the pro-life movement, to honor individuals for their outstanding work, and to praise the Lord before we march to the Supreme Court.”

The actor Liche Ariza—who plays the role of Gedera in the hit TV show The Chosen—will be the guest speaker. Pavone will preach a pro-life sermon and the memory of slain pro-life activist Charlie Kirk will be honored. Winners of Priests for Life’s essay contest for youth also will be introduced.

Co-sponsors of this event include the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates, American Principles Project, Bott Radio Network, Thomas More Society, Human Life Alliance, The Justice Foundation, Operation Outcry, Timothy Plan, and Intercessors for America.

Constitution Hall is at 1776 D St. NW, at 18th and D Streets. The event is free, tickets are not required and large groups can be easily accommodated. Visit NationalPrayerService.com for more information.
