Thanks for Fr. Pavone article
Thank you very much for printing the article on Jan. 31 entitled "Pro-life priest urges treating foes with respect."
The article reported on a gathering in New Orleans of a group of pro-life advocates at which Fr. Frank Pavone, founder of Priests for Life spoke to the group urging them to consider that "the best way to advance the cause of life is to treat opponents with Christian dignity and respect."
Many of us have been waiting for and hoping to hear this Christian point of view expressed by a respected leader in the right-to-life movement, and we hope and pray that Fr. Pavone's words will be taken to heart and that mean-spiritedness and personal attacks will become a thing of the past.
