Father Frank A. Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, will be a featured speaker at the 29th annual National Right to Life Convention in Charlotte, N.C., Thursday through Saturday, June 28-30. The convention will focus on efforts by the pro-life movement to restore legal protection to the unborn.
Father Pavone, a priest of the archdiocese based on Staten Island, will speak at the closing dinner and give workshops on increasing pro-life effectiveness and "the Church, the media and the state." Other speakers include Jeanne Head, a pro-life lobbyist at the United Nations; Richard M. Doerflinger, associate director for policy development for the Pro-Life Secretariat of the National Conference of Catholic Bishops; Joel Brind, a New York researcher who has documented a link between abortion and breast cancer; television and radio talk show host Sean Hannity; recording artist Pat Boone, and motivational youth speaker Jeff Cavins.
The National Right to Life Youth Outreach program will hold a convention simultaneously to educate teens and college students about pro-life issues.
