Following Arthur J. Brew's interview with Fr. Frank A. Pavone in the Feb. 15th issue of The Wanderer, I must tell you a short but important story regarding Lawrence Roberge's new book, The Cost of Abortion.
At the January March for Life in Washington, D.C., I saw people trying to speak to Sen. John Warner (R., Va.), an avid abortion supporter. After Warner declared his support for abortion, a woman stepped forward to the senator. She quoted a wealth of facts from Roberge's book on abortion's effects on this nation. Shamefaced and crestfallen, Sen. Warner walked away in silence.
If a single book can do that to one solidly pro-abortion senator, imagine what it could do to challenge all of the members of Congress!
Fr. Pavone was right to mention this book. Scripture says, ''My people perish for lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6). We need this information to battle for babies' lives.
I am saddened that our media choose to obstruct the truth that we are slowly dying via abortion.
