Two New York archdiocesan priests will be heard on the Catholic shortwave radio station WEWN, the radio affiliate of Mother Angelica's Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) of Birmingham, Ala.
Father Paul Keenan, a New York radio host and assistant director of the archdiocesan Communications Office, has recorded a program on the Catechism of the Catholic Church which had its debut March 4. Father Frank A. Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, will be heard in two new programs as well as two programs he recorded last year.
Father Keenan's series, "The Spirituality of the Catholic Church," covers all four sections of the Catechism in 26 half-hour programs. "I try to show that the Catechism can inform our prayer and be meditated upon," Father Keenan said.
His program can be heard on Mondays at 7 a.m. on 15665 kHz; Wednesdays at 11:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. on 5825 kHz.
Father Keenan also is host of "As You Think," an inspirational talk show on WOR-AM radio, 710, Saturdays at 9 p.m.; and "Religion on the Line," on WABC-AM, 770, Sundays from 6 to 9 a.m,
Father Pavone's new programs are "Reflections on the Sacraments" on Fridays at midnight and Saturdays at 7 p.m. on 5825 kHz; and "Prolife Update," Wednesdays and Saturdays at 11 a.m. on 15665 kHz, and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. on 5825 kHz. His repeat shows are "Life Issues," Sundays at 12:30 p.m. on 15665 kHz, and "Living the Word," Sundays at 11 a.m. on 15665 kHz.
Reruns of "Face to Face With John Cardinal O'Connor," which were broadcast on Channel 5 during the 1980s, appear on EWTN.
