Father Frank A. Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, will celebrate a Respect Life Mass Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield.
Following the Mass, a candlelight procession will be made to the Memorial to the Pre-born on the grounds at St. Francis School, where a short vigil service will conclude the evening's events.
The public is invited to attend all the services. Those wishing to participate in only the procession and vigil service at the monument should assemble outside the church by 7:45 p.m.
Father Pavone is an international speaker on pro-life issues. He has appeared on Eternal World Television Network, and has been invited by Mother Theresa of Calcutta to address the clergy of India on pro-life issues.
He was ordained in the Archdiocese of New York, and in 1993 was named the national director of Priests for Life. He serves this position full-time, traveling across the country teaching and speaking on pro-life issues.
