Staten Island, NY – Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life and witness to the court ordered killing of Terri Schindler Schiavo, will again be the main celebrant at the annual National Mass for Terri’s Day on March 31st, the sixth anniversary of her death.
“Since the barbaric murder of Terri Schiavo, the dehumanization of the disabled has only increased not only in America, but around the world,” said Fr. Pavone. “Right now in Canada and India, cases are pending and lives are hanging in the balance because of a ‘better off dead’ ethos that condemns the medically vulnerable. We stand today not just for compassion and inclusion, but to protect the basic human rights of those who need only basic care.”
Besides the national mass, Terri’s Day involves local observances and educational activities. Resources and suggestions can be found at www.TerrisDay.org.
