Former Aerosmith groupie Julia Holcomb now 'Silent No More'

Julia Holcomb was a 16-year-old child (some articles say 14 years old) in 1973 when Steven Tyler of the band Aerosmith convinced her mother and stepfather to sign over their daughter's guardianship to him so that she could live with Tyler in Boston.

A year or so into the relationship, Tyler decided he wanted a family and convinced Holcomb to conceive a child with him before he tossed her birth control pills over a balcony. When she became pregnant, Tyler asked Holcomb to marry him, but never followed through. Instead, he left her alone and pregnant with few resources while he went on tour.

Following an apartment fire that almost killed her, Holcomb was persuaded to have an abortion while recovering in the hospital from the fire.
