April, 22nd, 2016 — On Tuesday, April 28th, 2015, Governor Sam Brownback will sign Senate Bill 95 into law. Commonly referred to as the “Abortion Dismemberment Law,” the bill has gained national attention including that of Father Frank Pavone, an internationally recognized pro-life advocate, who plans to travel to Kansas for the historic signing ceremony.
J. Basil Dannebohm, Representative-Emeritus of the 113th District, will host Father Pavone during his visit to Kansas.
“I’m pleased to be hosting Father Frank Pavone as he travels to Kansas next week to express his support of Senate Bill 95,” said Rep. Dannebohm. “Father Pavone has been a champion for the pro-life movement and in many ways, a pioneer for the cause. As Governor Brownback signs historic, dare I say pioneering legislation, it seems only fitting that Father Pavone join us to show his support for the governor, the legislature, and all those who made this day possible.”
Father Pavone is the National Director of Priests for Life and Missionaries of the Gospel of Life as well as President of the National Pro-life Religious Council and Pastoral Director of Rachel’s Vineyard.
“The action of Governor Sam Brownback in signing legislation that protects children from dismemberment represents exactly what public service means. Serving the people begins with protecting them,” said Pavone. “We at Priests for Life have advocated for legislation like this for many years (www.StopDandE.com). By joining Governor Brownback for next week’s events, we signal our commitment to making it a reality in many more states across our land.”
Father Pavone will host a press conference the morning of Tuesday, April 28th. Members of the media are encouraged to contact info@dannebohm.com for more information.
