NEW YORK – In a telling interview with George Stephanopoulos of ABC This Week, Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards evaded direct questions about what the two videos released by the Center for Medical Progress show regarding the abortion giant’s harvesting and selling of baby parts.
Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, responded:
“Cecile Richard's defense was no more than a deflection. She kept asserting that the videos were "highly edited." But the words coming out of the mouths of Deborah Nucatola and Mary Gatter weren't placed there by editors; they were placed there by Deborah and Mary. And those words indicate that both the prices and the procedures are altered.
“Planned Parenthood is clearly on the defensive. Richards asserts that she looks forward to the facts coming out. If I were her, I wouldn’t be looking forward to that at all, because the additional videos coming out will only confirm what we have already said: Planned Parenthood kills babies, including late in pregnancy, and harvests their organs for sale.
"Instead of trying to attack what pro-life people are doing, Planned Parenthood needs to explain what it is doing, and then it needs to stop doing it, whether that be by choice or by force of law."
