NEW YORK -- Bryan Kemper, Priests for Life Youth Outreach Director of founder of Stand True Pro-Life Outreach, is calling on Sen. Mark Kirk (R – Illinois) to continue his fight against human trafficking by voting to defund Planned Parenthood.

Sen. Kirk is one of the Republican senators who has not committed to voting in favor of S. 1881 on Monday. The bill would strip the nation’s largest abortion provider of all federal funding.

“When I met Sen. Kirk on a plane in May 2014, I was wearing a pro-life t-shirt and the senator told me he was pro-choice but passionate about ending human trafficking,” Kemper said. “With the bill to defund Planned Parenthood, the senator has a chance to take a stand for the dignity of all human life, including the tiniest humans whose body parts are being trafficked all over the country, for profit.

“I am appealing to Sen. Kirk to use his crucial vote on Monday to defund Planned Parenthood.”

Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life and author of the new book Abolishing Abortion, added:

“We have called on all of our supporters, and everyone who supports the sanctity of human life, to be in touch with their senators before Monday to voice support for this bill. Sen. Kirk’s vote is important and I hope he will make the connection that Bryan Kemper has articulated: Human trafficking includes the illegal sale of human body parts.”
