NEW YORK -- Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, today issued the following statement on President Obama’s veto of H.R. 3762, the bill to defund Planned Parenthood and partially repeal the Affordable Care Act.

“We already knew that President Obama has a callous disregard for babies in the womb and even babies who survive abortions.  With this veto, he not only continues to trample on their rights and the broken hearts of their mothers, he rewards their oppressors.

“There is no justification for the government to fund and thereby promote Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion business. This may be the first time a president has received legislation to remove Planned Parenthood’s tentacles from the nation’s treasury, it will not be the last.'

Just wait till we get a republican President in office! How many tiems did Wilberforce have to introduce his legislation to abolish slavery?? And how long did it take for the English and the Americans to acknowledge how horrible the slave trade was? We will win this war for life and for unborn babies all in due course! Thanx for all your efforts Father Frank and Priests for Life! Stay the Course!
