WASHINGTON, D.C. – Priests for Life vs. HHS is one of the seven consolidated cases in Zubik vs. Burwell that will be heard in the Supreme Court at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 23.
Three named plaintiffs in the case – Father Frank Pavone, National Director; Janet Morana, Executive Director, and Alveda King, director of Priests for Life's Civil Rights for the Unborn – will be in D.C. for oral arguments. Father Pavone will be inside the courtroom for the arguments themselves.
On Tuesday, March 22 at 1:30 p.m., Mrs. Morana and Father Pavone will speak at a press conference at the National Press Club (Bloomberg Room), 529 14th St. NW. Private interviews can be arranged beforehand.
On Tuesday evening, March 22, from 7:30 to 8:30 pm, all three plaintiffs will lead a national prayer rally in front of the Supreme Court and will also be available for interviews.
On Wednesday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Mrs. Morana and Dr. King will speak at a rally outside the Supreme Court. Both will be available for individual interviews. Father Pavone may be reached by phone prior to the start of oral arguments and will speak at a press conference immediately after coming out from the courtroom once the oral arguments are completed. He will be available for face-to-face interviews Wednesday afternoon.
Likewise, Robert Muise of the American Freedom Law Center, and attorney for the Priests for Life case, will be available for interviews.
