WASHINGTON — Donald Trump remained silent last night following the U.S. Supreme Court decision to strike down Texas abortion law — leaving Hillary Clinton free to fire away at her GOP rival who has stumbled on the issue.

Texas officials had argued that the laws, which required doctors performing abortions and abortion clinics to meet standards required of hospital doctors and facilities, were meant to protect women’s health.

Father Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, which filed a brief in the case in support of the Texas law, said: “The Supreme Court is now the Supreme Medical Board, setting its own standards for patient care in the United States.”
