Hey pro-aborts: If pro-lifers only care about unborn babies, why are we the ones defending Charlie Gard?

July 5, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – "You only care about babies before they're born!" is a common insult hurled at pro-life activists.

The case of 11-month-old Charlie Gard, a UK baby whose parents are fighting to keep him on life support, illustrates that such an accusation is a canard. European courts have ruled that Charlie's hospital, not parents, have the right to decide whether he keeps living and is able to be treated elsewhere.

"Charlie's plight" has shown the lie that is "the pro-choice mantra, 'prolifers only care about babies before birth,'" Father Stephen Imbarrato of Priests for Life told LifeSiteNews. "It is clearly those who respect every human life from conception to natural death that care about Charlie and his parents."

Planned Parenthood, one of the biggest worldwide abortion promoters, seems to have been silent about little Charlie. No press releases, no media blitzes. Silence.

Same with the British Pregnancy Advisory Service, a major UK abortion lobby group. And with NARAL, a U.S. pro-abortion group.

"If pro-abortion supporters were honest, they would be supporting Charlie, who is already born, and his parents who have chosen to do everything they can to extend his life," Imbarrato continued. "The fact is that those who support abortion also support euthanasia and doctor assisted suicide regardless of age or quality of life."

Planned Parenthood and many on the American left frequently claim "people will die" if certain healthcare laws or regulations aren't passed, of course ignoring the irony that Planned Parenthood kills people every day.

Well, a little boy will die if the British courts and socialized medicine have their way in this case.

If there are any pro-abortion groups out there who support parental rights and believe Charlie should continue receiving treatment rather than have his life support yanked, it would be great to hear from them.
