We continue here our series highlighting the members of the Priests for Life Family who serve on our staff and pastoral team.Traci Kirk’s voice is often the first one her co-workers hear as she summons them to the morning briefing that begins every work day at Priests for Life. Every caller and visitor is first greeted by Traci, who was hired as a receptionist for the Titusville office shortly after it opened in 2017.
Born into a Navy family in Charleston, South Carolina, Traci was raised in Texas, giving her an accent that lies somewhere in the middle of drawl and twang. She and her husband are the parents of a daughter and a son.
When she was looking for a job not too far from her Titusville home, she didn’t want to work in a large corporation, where she would feel lost in the system. Priests for Life was a perfect fit.
“Working here is quite pleasant and I think that’s because of the Christian administration,” she says. “We feel like family and I have made friendships that I believe will be lifelong with my co-workers. Everyone helps in all areas when needed.”
She also appreciates that Father Frank and Janet are so approachable.
“I feel like I can ask anything and they are willing to listen,” she says. “They are accommodating to me having a family and know how important it is to me.”
Although this is her first time working in the pro-life movement, Traci is fully on board with the mission.
“Babies are precious, and should be protected since they cannot protect themselves,” she says. “Having a daughter is an encouragement to help in the movement.”
