I Marched Today
I marched today, my head held high,
My heart so full of pride.
I didn’t grow tired or weary,
For Jesus was by my side.
I looked at those around me;
The young and the old were there,
Determined to make his journey,
With faith and hope and a prayer,
As I walked I thought of little hands
That would never hold a toy.
And precious hearts that will never know
The feeling of love and joy.
Oh Lord, how wonderful to see
Thousands who marched in your name,
If they helped to save but one child,
Their steps were not in vain
