On April 28-30, 2023, the largest-ever gathering of Satanists will take place at a conference called “SatanCon 2023” in Boston. We invite you to offer this prayer each day prior to and during the conference.
God our Father,
You are the only God,
Almighty and victorious over every evil.
During his earthly ministry,
Your Son Jesus Christ went about doing good,
And healing all who were in the grip of the devil.
He cast out demons
And announced that the Kingdom of God was among us
And that it was time to repent of all evil deeds.
Lord, your Word tells us
That the devil prowls around like a roaring lion,
Seeking whom he may devour.
Yet we know that his power is limited,
And that by our baptismal vows
We have rejected him, his works, and his empty promises.
Lord, today we renew those vows.
We stand against everything the devil stands for
And we ask you to free all who are in his grip today.
Lord, may your people realize
That only Jesus is the Truth
That only Jesus is the Way to the Father,
And that only in Jesus do we find
The fullness of freedom and of Life.
Lord, keep us close to you,
In the power of Your Word,
In the presence of Your Spirit,
And in the grace of Your sacraments.
May your people rejoice in true freedom
In the service of the only God, living and true.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
