[Spanish]
Father, you are the Lord of Life
And you protect your People
From physical and spiritual violence.
You give us freedom,
And you command us to pray for our leaders,
That we may live tranquil and peaceful lives.
Lord, we believe in your law,
And we believe in law and order.
Bless our nation, bless our communities,
Bless our candidates and bless our elections,
That this exercise of self-governance
May be carried out in peace.
Protect us from the violence
That our enemies plot against us.
Keep all candidates safe,
Along with their families, their teams, and their supporters.
Stop all those who plot evil.
Confuse their plans and hinder their schemes.
Lord, we ask that you also protect candidates
From the violence of lies against their reputation.
May we never be afraid of speaking the truth,
And may we always defend those who are maligned and falsely accused.
You are the God of truth and peace.
Fill us with your Spirit,
And grant us peace now and forever.
We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
