[Spanish]
Lord, we are so grateful
That we can choose our leaders,
Unlike many people in the world
Whose leaders are just imposed upon them
Without their consent.
We thank you that we can influence
Our fellow voters
With information, encouragement,
And assistance to get to the polls.
Lord, as we find ourselves so close
To the conclusion of election time,
Many will feel that they have not done enough
Or have missed the opportunity
To influence their fellow citizens.
Lord, show us that nothing can be farther from the truth.
Many are just beginning now
To pay attention to the election
Or to seek information about the candidates.
Each of us can begin today.
Each of us can still do so much
Between now and the final day of voting.
May nobody be discouraged or distracted
By worries of not having done enough.
Rather, grant us a fresh beginning, a new start,
And an outpouring of your Spirit
To strengthen us to make the most of the days that remain
And get as many voters as possible to the polls.
We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
