[Spanish]
Lord God,
You are the source of all good activity
And also the source of peace and calm.
You stir us up in our conscience
And you alert our souls to the dangers and opportunities |
That are in front of us.
You also tell us to let nothing disturb us
And to let the peace of Christ,
Which surpasses all understanding
Keep guard over our minds and hearts.
Give us that peace today,
Even as at the same time,
You give us energy and resolve
To fight hard for victory in this election.
Lord we know that the disputes back and forth,
The high emotions,
And the intensity of the final weeks of the election
Can take a toll on everyone
And make us feel disturbed and distressed.
Give us the grace to be fully engaged
And yet fully at peace.
After each encounter with the verbal assaults of the other side
May we wash ourselves in the Blood of Christ
And drink deeply of his Spirit of Peace.
Keep guard over our minds and hearts;
Grant us your peace, fill us with your joy,
And bring us victory.
We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
