Lord, we pray today
For the Governors of the United States,
That they may govern wisely.
We have many Governors in America
Who love and defend freedom,
Allow businesses to flourish,
Defend the rights of Churches,
Protect the lives of the unborn,
And are faithful to the Constitution.
Lord, we also have Governors
Who do exactly the opposite.
In this election cycle,
Free us from bad governance.
Equip your people
With the knowledge and understanding
To choose the right governors:
Men and women who will put the people
Ahead of their own interests.
Lord, you are the Governor of all,
And Ruler of the nations of the earth.
In this election, bring our states
And our nation Closer to Your Kingdom.
We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
