[Spanish]
Father of Life,
We acknowledge today those people
Whom so many do not acknowledge
The children in the first nine months of their life.
Lord, these are the poorest of the poor,
Seeking what they need to survive.
They are our first neighbors, seeking our love.
They are the first immigrants, seeking our welcome.
They are the most dependent, seeking our protection.
They are the most voiceless, for whom we raise our voices throughout the year.
They are the most marginalized,
Whose lives far too many people think do not matter.
They are the most oppressed,
The victims of the most unjust form of discrimination.
Bless the children in the womb, O Lord,
And keep them safe on their journey towards birth.
We pray that voters will choose the candidates
Who will do more for the unborn than their opponents will. We pray for a pro-life Congress,
And pro-life state legislatures.
We pray for judges who will render pro-life decisions
And Attorneys General and District attorneys
Who will vigorously defend pro-life laws.
We pray for the defeat of pro-abortion ballot measures
And the passage pro-life ballot measures.
Lord, we pray that this election
Will bring us closer to the day
When most fundamental right, the right to life itself,
Will again be safeguarded and protected.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
