TITUSVILLE, FL -- Priests for Life National Director Frank Pavone issued the following statement today regarding the latest developments in pro-life efforts to challenge a pro-abortion ballot amendment in South Dakota.
“Priests for Life, which has been encouraging South Dakota residents to oppose the extreme abortion measure Amendment G, welcomed the decision of a Minnehaha County judge to allow litigation to continue that challenges the legality of signatures collected for this amendment. A trial is set to begin Sept. 23.
“Wherever we stand on abortion, on Amendment G, or on any issue, there’s one thing we should be able to agree on: Any process to shape public policy should be conducted legally, and the relevant, existing laws should be enforced.”
Priests for Life has been working with all ten states that have abortion-related ballot measures this Fall. Find out more StateBallotMeasures.org.
