[Spanish]
Lord Jesus,
You came into the world
To destroy the works of the devil.
You told us that he is a liar and the father of lies.
In this election,
We pray that you would protect voters
From those lies.
The devil will propagate his lies each day.
He will tell people that their vote doesn’t count.
He will tell them it doesn’t matter,
He will make them think the races have been already decided
One way or the other,
Or that the state is too red or too blue.
The devil will lie, telling voters
That the cheating and fraud in the election
Means their vote will not count.
And he will tell them
That no candidate or party or platform
Is good enough anyway And that people of virtue
Should abstain from voting altogether.
Lord, free your people from these lies.
Remind them that their vote
Is an act of service to you,
An act of confidence in your Providence,
And an act of love and care for their family
And their neighbors across the country.
Remind our fellow voters
That the one way to guarantee that we lose
And that our vote will not count
Is not to cast that vote in the first place.
Lord, you are the God of action,
The God who has always called your people
To rise up and fight for what is right
No matter what the odds against them might be.
Save us, Lord, from a lack of confidence
And save us from over-confidence.
Keep your people focused and faithful,
Active and diligent,
Right through the conclusion of this election.
And in your mercy,
Let us see your victory,
For you live and reign
Forever and ever. Amen.
